3500
Since moving beyond the 3000th entry in February, the repository has expanded to cover new areas and, in the production of the recent post “Heidegger on Work”, the 3500th reference was added. We are currently strengthening existing themes (notably on Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Machines in the Workplace) and are now well beyond 3600!
Recent additions include:
Ernst Jünger: We have added 51 references on work from Jünger’s writings, principally Der Arbeiter (The Worker), and 57 secondary references addressing work in Jünger. Many of these were discussed in the recent newsletter, Deutsche Arbeit: A Troubling History.
Heidegger. A selection of primary sources were explored in our latest newsletter. The repository now has 95 references from 17 of his works. There are now also 171 secondary references discussing Heidegger’s account of work from multiple perspectives.
Technology. a new folder dedicated to Technology has been added. This theme now has 81 references, and is expanding rapidly. This theme intersects with others, as in recent additions to the themes technology and degrowth, technology and nature, as well as critical theory and technology.
Hannah Arendt. The repository now contains over 100 references on work in Arendt, including 61 primary references from four of her major works, and 73 references from the secondary literature. These references will be the focus of a the next newsletter.
Post-War French Heideggerians: we have added 90 references to writings by and on Jean-Luc Nancy, Maurice Blanchot, and Georges Bataille.
On to 4000!
